Duration
Completed across a heavily disrupted Queensland wet season, requiring flexible scheduling and a dedicated six-person crew to maintain project momentum despite torrential rain and site-access lockouts caused by a cyclone.
The Project
Originally scoped as an ordinary interior and exterior repaint, the Wonga Project quickly evolved into our defining entry for the Master Painters Awards. When Cyclone Alfred hit, our six-person team dug in, turning obstacles into opportunities. We stripped away failing DIY finishes and breathed life into old timber archways. When our clients requested a "shiny," glass-like finish on a traditionally matte micro-cement benchtop, we engineered a luminous hybrid epoxy system that saved them $10,000. It’s a story of adversity revealing true craftsmanship—where every storm-weathered day pushed us to deliver a home crafted with pure integrity.
Our Approach
Driven by the pursuit of Master Painters Queensland excellence, our approach combined technical innovation with unwavering adaptability. We sourced premium products across multiple brands—including Italian Sayerlack, Haymes, Resene, and Georgio Graesan—to suit exactly what each surface demanded. By embracing the client's love for high-gloss finishes, we engineered custom coating systems and even integrated a spray booth mid-project to achieve showroom-quality results on-site.
